Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hoppr IQ Inc. collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Canadian Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hoppr IQ Inc. ("Hoppr IQ", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in Canada when you visit our sites, create an account, or use our pricing-intelligence platform, APIs, and dashboards (the "Services"). We are a business-to-business service; most data we process concerns companies, products, and prices. This policy covers the personal information of users and contacts at our customers and prospects.

We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, substantially similar provincial laws (Alberta, British Columbia, Québec). Where Québec's Law 25 imposes additional requirements, we meet those for Québec residents.

If you have any questions or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@hoppriq.com or the address at the end of this policy.

1) Scope & Key Concepts

  • Personal information means information about an identifiable individual (e.g., name, business contact details, user credentials, IP address).
  • Customer Data means data a customer uploads or connects to the Services (e.g., product catalogs, SKUs, internal mappings, notes). Customer Data may include personal information about your users or contacts.
  • External Data means information we obtain from publicly available sources and retail/marketplace websites to provide the Services. We design our collection to focus on product and price information, not individuals.

This policy does not apply to information that has been irreversibly de-identified or aggregated.

2) What We Collect

We collect personal information in the following categories:

Account & Profile

  • Name, business email, phone (optional), role/title, company, team/permission settings, authentication logs.

Billing & Commercial

  • Billing contact, billing address, plan tier, transaction records (payment details are handled by our payment processor).

Usage & Technical

  • Log files, IP address, device/browser info, session and performance telemetry, feature usage, date/time stamps.

Communications

  • Support tickets, emails, chat messages, survey responses, webinar registrations, marketing preferences.

Customer-Provided Data

  • Personal information contained in Customer Data that you submit or connect (e.g., user identifiers, store-contact fields) — your organization controls this data.

We do not intentionally collect information about children and the Services are not directed to individuals under 16.

3) How We Use Personal Information (Purposes)

We use personal information to:

  1. Provide and secure the Services – account creation, authentication, access control, service delivery, incident detection, fraud prevention.
  2. Operate features – dashboards, alerts, schedules, saved filters, exports.
  3. Support & communications – respond to requests, provide training and product updates (you may opt out of marketing at any time).
  4. Improve the Services – diagnostics, analytics, and product development using de-identified/aggregated data.
  5. Compliance & enforcement – meet legal obligations, investigate misuse, and enforce terms and policies.

We do not use Customer Data to market to your end users.

4) How We Collect Market Data

Hoppr IQ retrieves publicly available product and price information from retailers, marketplaces, and brand sites to power comparisons and insights. Collection is automated and rate-limited, designed to respect technical access rules. We focus on commercial information, not individuals. If a site owner asks us to adjust collection, we review and act appropriately.

5) Our Role & Your Role

For Customer Data that includes personal information about your users or contacts, you are the data controller/organization in charge; Hoppr IQ acts as a service provider (processor). You are responsible for having a lawful basis (e.g., consent, legitimate business purposes) and providing any required notices to your users. We process such data only on your instructions and only to deliver and improve the Services.

6) When We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We disclose personal information only to:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) that host, support, or help us operate the Services (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, payments). They are bound by confidentiality and security obligations and may only use the data to perform services for us.
  • Your direction – when you connect integrations or request exports.
  • Legal and safety – to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, or security.
  • Business transfers – in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to continued protections.
  • Aggregated/De-identified outputs – analytics and benchmarks that do not identify any individual or customer.

Important: Your organization's data is segregated and not shared with other customers.

7) Cross-Border Transfers

We may process and store information in Canada and the United States. When personal information is transferred outside your province or Canada, it may be subject to foreign laws and lawful access by courts, law-enforcement, or national security authorities. We use contractual and organizational measures appropriate to PIPEDA and provincial laws to protect transferred data (e.g., written processor agreements, access controls).

8) Security

We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls, environment isolation, logging/monitoring, and employee confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if we discover a confidentiality incident involving personal information, we will notify you without undue delay and comply with applicable reporting obligations (e.g., to the OPC/CAI where required).

9) Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. After termination or upon your request, we delete or de-identify Customer Data within a commercially reasonable period, subject to legal holds and backup cycles.

10) Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your province, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Withdraw consent (where consent is the basis of processing);
  • Portability / De-indexation (Québec Law 25, as applicable and when technically feasible);
  • Opt out of marketing communications (every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link).

If you are an end user of a business customer, please contact your organization first regarding Customer Data; we will assist them as required.

Submit requests to privacy@hoppriq.com. We may need to verify your identity and we will respond within timeframes required by law.

11) Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand product usage. Categories include:

  • Strictly necessary (authentication, security) – always on;
  • Analytics (product performance, feature adoption) – used with consent where required;
  • Preference/functional (remember settings).

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and our on-site controls (where available). We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the product.

12) Automated Processing

The Services use automated processing to generate alerts, reports, and insights about products and prices. We do not make automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

13) CASL (Anti-Spam)

We send commercial electronic messages in compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

14) Third-Party Links

Our sites may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.

15) Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on our website with a new effective date and, where changes are material, we will provide additional notice (e.g., email or in-product).

17) Organization Data Assurance (B2B)

For clarity, each customer's data—including Customer Data and outputs generated from it—remains logically segregated. We do not share Customer Data with other customers and we do not use Customer Data to build models or insights for other customers, except in an aggregated/de-identified form that cannot reasonably identify an organization or individual.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

American Privacy Policy

This U.S. Privacy Policy explains how Hoppr IQ ("Hoppr IQ," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information of individuals in the United States who visit our websites, use our products and services, or otherwise interact with us

1) Who we are and scope

  • We provide a B2B pricing intelligence and analytics platform.
  • This Policy covers personal information we handle as a business/controller (e.g., our website, trials, billing, support, marketing, job applications).
  • When we process data on behalf of customers in our platform, we act as a service provider/processor. That processing is governed by our customer contracts and Data Processing Addendum (DPA), not this Policy.

2) What we collect

We collect personal information in three ways: you provide it, we collect it automatically, and we receive it from third parties.

Information you provide

  • Account and contact details (name, work email, phone, company, role), passwords (stored securely/hashed)
  • Billing details (billing address; payment info handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor)
  • Communications and support content (tickets, chat, feedback, surveys)
  • Candidate data (resume/CV, cover letters, work history)

Information collected automatically

  • Device/usage data: IP address, browser/OS, pages viewed, links clicked, feature usage, timestamps
  • Cookies/SDKs:
  • Essential (login/session security, preferences)
  • Optional analytics (only where permitted by law/consent). See our Cookie Notice.

Information from third parties

  • Service providers (payments, fraud prevention, analytics, CRM/support)
  • Partners/resellers (if you were referred to us)
  • Public/enterprise sources (business contact information in a B2B context)

We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information (e.g., precise geolocation, government IDs, health, biometrics) in the ordinary course of providing our services. Please avoid sending it unless we specifically request it and provide a lawful basis.

3) How we use personal information

  • Provide and secure the services: account creation, authentication, access control, abuse/fraud prevention, debugging, incident detection, business continuity
  • Operate and improve: product analytics, quality assurance, feature development
  • Communicate and support: service/transactional messages, updates, notices, training, and support
  • Billing and administration: subscriptions, invoicing, collections, tax compliance
  • Legal and compliance: enforce terms, comply with law, protect rights, safety, and property
  • B2B marketing: send product updates, educational content, and event invitations (you can opt out anytime)

We may create aggregated and de-identified information for research, benchmarking, and product insights. We do not attempt to re-identify such information.

4) How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers/processors: hosting, security, analytics, email/SMS delivery, payments, customer support—bound by contract to use data only to provide services to us
  • Partners/resellers: when involved in your account or referral
  • Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale
  • Legal and safety: to comply with applicable law or protect rights, safety, and property
  • At your direction: integrations you enable or third-party tools you connect

We do not "sell" personal information and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide required opt-out mechanisms.

5) Your privacy choices

  • Marketing opt-out: You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or contacting us at privacy@hoppriq.com.
  • Cookies: Manage optional cookies via our cookie banner or your browser settings. Essential cookies can't be disabled because they are necessary to run the service.
  • Browser signals: Where required by law, we honor recognized browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

6) U.S. state privacy rights (e.g., CA, CO, CT, UT, VA)

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access/know: confirm whether we process your personal information and obtain a copy
  • Delete: request deletion (subject to legal/operational exceptions)
  • Correct: rectify inaccurate personal information
  • Portability: receive certain information in a portable format
  • Opt out of:
  • "Sale" of personal information
  • "Sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Targeted advertising and certain profiling
  • Appeal: if we deny your request, you may appeal our decision

How to exercise your rights

Submit a request at privacy@hoppriq.com (or via our privacy request form, if available). We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by law. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, subject to verification of their authority and your identity.

California-specific disclosures

  • We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA.
  • We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a "limited use" choice.
  • Metrics about consumer requests (if required) will be made available upon request or posted where applicable.

7) Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and for ordinary business continuity and backup purposes. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify the information.

8) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you of a data breach when required by law.

9) Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10) International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (e.g., contractual clauses).

11) Processor/service-provider role for customer data

When customers upload or collect data in our platform, we process it solely to provide the services under our contract and DPA, follow customer instructions, implement security measures, and assist with compliance where applicable.

12) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page (and/or communicated to account owners).
